Hello! My name is William Fitzgerald, and I am a Registered Psychotherapist. I previously received my Bachelor of Arts with an Honors Specialization in Kinesiology, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My academic background has provided me with a strong understanding of the mind-body connection, which I incorporate into my counselling approach by using therapeutic applications based on mindfulness. Along with mindfulness, I primarily utilize cognitive-behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and solution-focused therapy, as I prefer to focus on a client’s strengths. Throughout my professional career, I have worked with individuals with anger issues, anxiety, developmental and learning issues, stress from large life changes, confidence and self-esteem issues, depression, as well as sleep difficulties and nightmares.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family. I have four nieces, with two more on the way. In the summer, you can catch me swimming in the pool or playing volleyball, but in the winter, I am more likely to be on the couch watching Netflix or Disney+.
I am a friendly and outgoing individual and I strive to connect with my clients to create a comfortable environment. To do this, I emphasize active participation in the development of treatment plans and collaborate with clients to determine therapeutic goals. My personal goal is to help children, teens, and families develop their own coping strategies, which will thereby empower them and allow them to see their full potential.
I look forward to working together in the future!

Hi, I’m Cara! I’m a registered social worker and a mom to 2 young kids. I’m passionate about working with children and families during times of challenge and stress to support them in building resilient children with strong coping abilities and emotional regulation skills. I believe in using a collaborative approach to work with families and individuals to meet them where they are and using a variety of methods to address their concerns and challenges. The past year has been a challenging time for many with learning to live through a global pandemic and I believe that this has impacted all families in some way. I believe we can work together to process feelings and experiences and learn coping strategies, emotional regulation, and calming activities, as well as address communication skills and behavioural challenges.
I have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through Laurier University, with a speciality in working with children and adolescents . I have also completed an Advanced Trauma Treatment certification and EMDR (Eye-movement Desensitization Reprocessing) Step-by-step training through the Professional Education Systems Institute. I have experience working with mental health, behavior, sleep and adjustment to health challenges. I completed advanced training in infant and children’s sleep to best work with clients to address their child’s sleep needs and challenges. I have also completed training for anxiety treatment through Daybreak Academy and am a certified Break the Worry Trance Coach.
As a social worker in the hospital setting I have worked with children experiencing a variety of health challenges including neurological diagnoses, psychosomatic illnesses, burns, chronic health conditions, and acute health concerns. Counselling can be an important step in helping children and families adjust, process and cope with medical challenges.

Hi, I’m Mary.
I have been a Registered Social Worker since 2019 and I am mom to two young boys. I have been working in social services for nearly a decade, with a focus on supporting individuals with developmental or learning disabilities. I believe that clients come to therapy as
the experts in what is going on in their lives and that my job is to listen and validate your experiences. I am passionate about supporting my clients to figure out a better path forward by drawing on all the skills they already have, building community connections and support and strengthening family relationships.
My primary approaches to therapy are Compassion Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. My clinical experience includes working with clients who have experienced trauma, with a particular focus on childhood sexual abuse and challenging family situations, borderline personality disorder and
other emotion regulation concerns, anxiety, depression and suicidal ideation, in addition to supporting teens who are exploring their gender identity.
In my free time, I love to get outside with my husband, kids and dogs. I also have a bit of a true
crime podcast obsession and have absolutely no shame in the amount I know about Rebel, Chase and the rest of the Paw Patrol crew.
