New Clients please book a 15-minute initial consultation with the therapist you would prefer, first. If your preferred therapist does not have any availability, you may chose to book your consultation with someone else, or place yourself on their waitlist.
Please note that when creating a profile to book an initial consultation, it should be done so in the client/child’s name, not the parent’s.
Returning Clients For continuity in care, please book your appointment with the therapist you normally see. If you would like to switch therapists, please contact us at info@kidszen.ca.
This is a 15-minute initial phone consultation to help determine a good fit for both your family and therapist, as well as a time to ask any questions you may have regarding treatment styles or plans.

Hi! My name is Kelsey Vande Ven and I’m a registered social worker with clinical experience in child welfare and mental health. My education includes an Honours undergraduate degree in Social Work with a minor in psychology. In addition, I have obtained a certificate in cognitive behavioural therapy. Therefore, I have an extensive knowledge on how CBT can be utilized to improve our cognitions.
I believe that we all struggle at times and I’m here to walk beside you in your times of struggle. I have worked with adults and children that have difficulty with parenting, addiction, mental health, and trauma. I want to help support families in creating balance, stability, positive communication and overall well-being. I provide a non-judgmental, safe space to work collaboratively and effectively.
In my spare time, you’ll find me playing sports, being outdoors or spending time with my friends and family. I believe self care and informal positive support systems are paramount in maintaining our mental health and implemented in my overall therapeutic approach.
I look forward to supporting you and your family the best way I can!
